TCPC News for January 6

TCPC friends and family,

Welcome to 2021 (which feels eerily similar to 2020)! As we enter into this new year, let us resist the temptation to set our hope upon a year of changed circumstances, and instead set it upon Jesus who is Lord over all our circumstances.

Regarding what the new year means for ministries at TCPC, there is not much to communicate at this point. If 2020 taught us anything, it’s that we want to be patient and thoughtful in decision making. Therefore, we have decided to wait three more weeks (until our scheduled session meeting) to make any significant changes.

Until then, corporate worship remains the only in-person activity at our church, while all other ministries are free to meet online. We will be sure to update you on any changes that come from our January session meeting.

Regarding worship, as our attendance begins to increase again, allow me to remind you of a few things to note:

Please RSVP for Worship

It is very important for everyone to RSVP for worship. This enables us to plan well for the safety of everyone who attends, and ensures that we do not exceed our allowable capacity.

Overflow Seating

Seating in the Sanctuary is first-come-first-served. After reaching capacity, congregants will be directed to our Fellowship Hall, which is equipped with a high-quality direct video feed from the Sanctuary. The Lower Level is reserved for families with young children. While we are not offering nursery at this time, we do want to encourage parents to make use of the Lower Level as a more relaxed space for families to worship in.

Masks Are Required

Masks are required for the entirety of the service, no matter which room you are seated in.

As always, thank you for your support and patience as we continue to navigate this difficult time. We are all weary, but let us not grow weary in doing good.

Yours in Christ,

Robert
