Theme: The Long Expected Jesus

From Robert: The pandemic is spreading, the country is raging, and 2020, it seems, is never ending...Merry Christmas! Without a doubt, this Advent will be unlike any other, but perhaps it might be the truest of them all. Advent is the season of Christian longing. We reenact the anticipation of Christ's first coming, and in this way, train ourselves how to properly long for Christ's second coming. First, the advent fast, then the Christmas feast.

But this is difficult for Americans who struggle to wait past Thanksgiving before the Christmas celebration begins. But this year will be different. This year the parties and parades are canceled, leaving us longing for Christmas as it should be, which is actually advent as it should be. Our advent theme is going to embrace that longing. We will, of course, celebrate the first advent of Jesus, but more so we are going to yearn for what is to come, the return of our long expected Jesus.

  • December 6: Long Expected Retribution

  • December 13: Long Expected Redemption

  • December 20: Long Expected Reconciliation

Weekly Rhythm

Despite the cancellation of important church ministries, we still wanted to provide opportunities for learning, prayer, and life applications, so we've created a weekly rhythm of videos that we will be sharing throughout the month of December:

Be sure to follow us on Facebook or YouTube to see the videos as they are published.

Volunteers Needed for Worship AV

As our need for different means of worship have grown, so too has our need for volunteers grown to help make these live-streams happen. We would love for anyone who is interested in serving the church to email Stephen Lynerd about joining our AV Volunteer rotation. No experience needed! We are happy to train anyone who is eager to learn. You can email Stephen at slynerd@tcpca.org.

Angel Tree

’Tis the season to sponsor an Angel Tree child! This year is a bit different and will not require you to purchase a gift on your own, you can simply select a child and sponsor them with a $22 donation. Prison Fellowship will take care of sending a gift card to the child along with a message from their imprisoned parent and a gospel message.

To sponsor a child, please click here (access code is D48DE). From there you can select the children you wish to sponsor and pay for your child directly on the site. You can elect yes or no for additional sponsorship, but please note that you are not obligated to sponsor additional child(ren) or the parent. If you have any questions or trouble using the website, please email the church office at contact@tcpca.org
