Visual Aid
The first two days of Holy Week have taken place at the Temple. I thought it might aid your reflections for you to be able to picture it in your mind. The above picture is the of the courtyard square of the Temple in Jesus’ day. During the Passover week, this would be packed full with visitors and bustling with activities . This is where the vendors were set up that Jesus drove out, and this is where He returned the next day to teach.
This video is really helpful because it takes you all the way up the Temple mount and into the square as if you are walking around yourself. During the passover week, however, everything you see in this video would be filled with crowds. The 3:45 mark is when you walk out into the courtyard where Monday and Tuesday took place.
Hope it helps in your contemplation and meditation!
